What is soaring?

Our sport uses the terms gliding & soaring. Gliding refers to descending flight of a heavier-than-air craft. Soaring technically is the term used when the craft gains altitude or speed from rising air.

Is any special training necessary?

No. All sailplane rides are accompanied by an FAA Certified Pilot.

Can I take my kids

Yes. Our two-passenger plane is perfect for one adult and one child.

Are there any restrictions?

Yes. There is a 300 lb limit. For our two passenger plane, the combined weight of both passengers must be under 300 lbs.

Do I need a reservation?

Reservations are not required, but strongly recommended.

What if the weather is

All rides are contingent on good soaring weather. Afternoons are better for the longer rides and a chance to find out what the sport of soaring is about. Mornings are usually best for smooth air and for anyone that is new to the soaring experience.

Do you have gift certificates?
